She was always very responsive and timely with her reply, even if later in the evening, or early morning, and weekends (we tried not to ask after 9pm or weekends and holidays if we could help it). We had an amazing experience with Tidewater Home Funding, and we feel so lucky to have had Colby Raymond as our loan officer. We had the following 3 challenges for her: 1) clueless first time home buyers, 2) using a VA home loan, and 3) we were located overseas and on the opposite time zone. Surprisingly, none of these were issues for Colby. Her expertise allowed our home buying process to flow smoothly and effortlessly. She followed up with us shortly after we put in our loan application, and she found out what our needs were and what we qualified for. Colby explained all the perks and concerns that come with being first time home buyers using a VA loan. It was a relief that she was very familiar with the VA loan since we were not well informed about the process. Colby was very personable, professional, and responsive. She answered all of our questions (even late at night), clarified our concerns, and helped us feel confident in obta ining our first mortgage. We really appreciated her honesty, hard work, and dedication. Colby went above and beyond, and she benefited us in more ways than one. Each time we were thinking about putting in an offer on a house, Colby would provide us with a flood insurance quote, home owner's insurance quote, tax quote, and an estimated monthly mortgage payment. She was able to lock us in at a great rate, and help us close on our mortgage super fast. It was very helpful that she's from the area and could recommend some great neighborhoods that were an easy commute to work. Also, she set us up with the perfect realtor, Ben LeBrun. This (Tidewater Home Funding) was our mortgage company!!!! They were sooooo nice over there! We bought our house sight unseen and picked this company through a recommendation! We were in NY, going to Virginia Beach. ALL of our paperwork was done with our printer, copy, & fax machine!!! It was so nice to deal with people that KNOW what they are doing! This was my 4th mortgage with THF. Every transaction from application to closing was flawless. This last mortgage was 17 days from initial contact with Mary Beth to closing.
